O SW PH 4A

We have secured a 12 month ‘exclusivity clause’ with Leeds City Council to come up with a viability study and a business plan and are busy working through our project management on this. We have huge interest from around the company with many specialists offering to help us restore the site to become a state of the art outdoor leisure facility for our community in Otley and beyond.

The former Otley Lido is a local landmark located within the unique riverside setting of Otley’s Wharfemeadows Park. The Lido originally opened in 1924 and continued until its closure in 1993.

Through establishing a Community Interest Company and applying for Lottery Funding we believe it is viable to restore this site back into an outdoor swimming and leisure facility. Heated off the weir through hydroelectricity and using solar panels this could be a year round facility for our community and visitors to Otley
